The Antenna Surge is designed to test for lightning strike to Antenna System Wiring as described in Para. 7.3.2. The waveform generated is in accordance with the instructions in Annex N, Table N.1, line 3. In accordance with these requirements, the Antenna Surge generates the waveform dictated by the noted circuit components at 10kV output voltage. Use with a general purpose oscilloscope for waveform capture. Configure with TestMinder for computer control and test report, and with Arc Detection for test failure detection. The MegaPulse is configured with an IEC 65 relay and is built in a 19" by 6U enclosure.

• Generates either of the waveforms described in EN60950, Annex N, Table N.1, for testing electrical separation (MegaPulse 10×700 Series) or creepage in floating secondary circuits (MegaPulse 1x2x50 Series). Use a general purpose oscilloscope to read and record test results.
• Designed with operator safety in mind: Set up the EUT to the right and behind the tester, and a right-handed operator will find himself standing to the left of the tester, allowing maximum separation.
• Theoretical graphs and actual graphs showing the output of your tester are included with each MegaPulse, allowing easy sanity checks and proof to visiting agency engineers of test setups.
• 1000:1 BNC Oscilloscope output option allows quick connections and easy evaluation of output waveforms.
• 60950 requirements are for positive polarity tests only. No reverse polarity waveforms are available from the MegaPulse Antenna Surge.
• Front panel voltage meter shows residual voltage in charging circuit for safer operation.
