About Pressure Calibration
Pressure calibration compares the pressure measurement value of a device that’s being tested. For example, comparing a pressure gauge to a calibrated pressure measurement standard such as a deadweight tester or high accuracy reference pressure sensor.
This is typically performed by plumbing both the device and pressure measurement standard to a common stable pressure source. The variable output of the pressure source (i.e., a pneumatic or hydraulic pump) can steadily adjust the source pressure for comparison measurements throughout device’s range. Recording the deviation between the device and the calibrated reference standard allows you to calculate the error and uncertainty ratio required to determine if the device is within tolerance. You can also easily display the results on a calibration certificate or test report.
Our Pressure Calibration Services
At Calright Instruments, we recognize the importance of maintaining accurate and precise pressure measurements. This approach allows our customers to comply with industry standards, quality requirements, safety measures, and improve overall management efficiency. Our calibration laboratory is equipped with primary pressure calibrators such as deadweight testers and high accuracy reference sensors. We provide our customers with quality calibrations and report measurement uncertainties to meet their requirements.
Our Pressure Calibration Products
- AMETEK Type T Hydraulic Deadweight Tester, up to 15,000 PSI
The AMETEK Type T Hydraulic Deadweight tester is available in ranges from 10 to 15,000 psi. This tester can be used daily in most manufacturing environments due to its robust design , ability to withstand harsh conditions, and maintain full functionality and accuracy. Its standard accuracy is ±0.015% of Indicated reading but an accuracy of ±0.025% is also available. Several configurations are available to suit various applications. The single piston is the most common configuration and covers low to high pressures. The single-column, dual-piston configuration is recommended for low 10 PSI to high pressures.
- Crystal Engineering XP2i Digital Pressure Calibrator, Up to 15,000 PSI
The XP2i Digital Pressure Calibrator is a compact, rugged, and easy to use calibrator. It is intrinsically safe and features a marine-grade enclosure that resists corrosion. The XP2i is available in ranges from 15 to 15,000 psi. The standard accuracy is ±0.1% of Indicated reading (accuracy of up to ±0.05% and ±0.02% of full scale are also available). The optional datalogging feature allows users to record up to 32,000 data points.
