The Megohmmeter Model 1040 is a digital insulation resistance tester that is battery-powered. It’s designed to make measurements of voltage, continuity, insulation resistance, and measuring resistance. The Model 1040 tests are 500 and 1000V. It integrates a 600V voltmeter which detects and accurately displays DC/AC voltages automatically in the test circuit on each of the insulation test voltage ranges. Moreover, Above 25V also gives a visual & audible signal, and inhibits in-depth tests, therefore protecting the meter as well as the user.

An extremely big analog/digital multi-function display gives easy and clear readings that are enhanced by a bright blue electroluminscent backlight.

The 1040 is also available in kit form.  The 1040 Megohmmeter Field Kit includes a user manual, batteries, remote test probe, two alligator clips, black test probe, two color-coded leads, field case, and a Model 1040 megohmmeter. The Remote Test Probe (with target light) is utilized for all measurements. The yellow button on the probe button is utilized the same way as the button on the instruments. When the button is pushed, the test voltage is generated.
